Di Maio and Pompeo Express Concern Over Intensification of Fighting in Libya

In a phone call with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio reviewed recent developments in Libya and the global Covid-19 pandemic.

On Thursday, the Italian news agency AKI quoted diplomatic sources who said that the two officials reiterated their concern about the intensification of fighting in Libya and the need for an immediate humanitarian truce, in addition to the cessation of foreign intervention in the country.
