The Acting Chairman of Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC), Eng. Masoud Suleiman, has concluded a series of high-level meetings with global energy leaders on the sidelines of the CERAWeek Energy Conference in Houston, United States. The conference, which wrapped up today, provided an opportunity for the NOC to engage directly with key stakeholders from the international oil and gas industry.
During his visit, Suleiman met with senior executives from several major energy corporations, including Shell, Schlumberger, Eni, TotalEnergies, Halliburton, ARC Energy, Solar Turbines, and Repsol. He also held discussions with the Turkish Minister of Energy and the U.S. Secretary of Energy as part of the African Energy Meeting.
These talks focused on exploring opportunities for strategic partnerships and joint ventures in Libya’s energy sector. According to a statement from the NOC, many of these international companies expressed a strong interest in investing in Libya, highlighting the country’s significant potential in oil, gas, and renewable energy projects.
Eng. Suleiman extended his gratitude for the warm reception the Libyan delegation received, describing CERAWeek as an invaluable platform for forging new relationships with some of the most influential energy players in the world. He emphasised the NOC’s commitment to expanding its network of strategic partners by inviting them to participate in Libya’s newly launched exploration bidding round, which offers 22 blocks for investment.
Suleiman assured potential investors that the NOC’s contracting processes will adhere to the highest standards of transparency and competitiveness. He also reaffirmed the corporation’s dedication to protecting the interests of its partners, pledging to prioritise mutual benefit in all agreements.
