Libya’s Brega Petroleum Marketing Company has confirmed that fuel supplies remain stable across the country, with operational programmes continuing normally in all major regions and distribution networks functioning according to approved schedules.
In a statement, the company said the national fuel supply and distribution system is operating smoothly across all areas, extending from Tobruk in eastern Libya through Benghazi, Misrata, the southern region, Tripoli, Zawiya, Sarir, and the Brega area.
Brega stated that fuel receipt, storage, and distribution operations are proceeding in line with established operational plans. The company said these measures are ensuring the continued delivery of allocated fuel volumes to distribution companies while also meeting the needs of critical sectors, particularly power generation facilities and major industrial consumers.
According to the company, fuel pumping operations from the Zawiya Oil Depot to the Tripoli Oil Depot remain ongoing. At the same time, supplies to southern Libya continue through the Misrata and Zawiya depots to support operations at the Sabha Oil Depot, helping maintain fuel availability across the region.
The company also noted that it is closely monitoring the arrival of fuel tankers and the volumes received from domestic refineries, integrating incoming supplies into daily distribution programmes to ensure uninterrupted deliveries.
Brega stressed that maintaining stability in the fuel supply chain requires close cooperation between storage facilities, operational regions, technical departments, and relevant authorities. The company highlighted the importance of continuous coordination to monitor fuel movements from production and storage sites to end users while limiting any practices that could disrupt distribution operations.
The company further called on fuel distribution firms, which own and operate fuel stations throughout Libya, to support the regular functioning of service stations and ensure they remain open to the public in accordance with approved distribution schedules.
Brega also urged distribution companies to comply with safety and security regulations while providing the operational support and alternative energy resources needed to maintain uninterrupted service when required.
Reaffirming its core responsibilities, the company said its primary role remains the receipt, storage, and distribution of petroleum products under approved operational programmes. It added that maintaining fuel supply stability is a shared responsibility that requires cooperation among all stakeholders to guarantee that fuel reaches consumers efficiently and consistently.
The statement comes as Libya continues efforts to strengthen energy security and maintain reliable fuel supplies across the country despite logistical and operational challenges affecting the broader energy sector.
