Since the imposition of a curfew in Libya this Thursday, members of the Libyan National Army (LNA) deployed to Benghazi in order to sterilise the streets in a precautionary move to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

The curfew, imposed from 6pm-6am, has been put into effect by Ibrahim Bushanaf, Libya’s Interim Government Minister of Interior. Fortunately, Benghazi residents quickly demonstrated commitment to comply with the curfew following its implementation by security forces and the lining of security checkpoints throughout the city.
