Ageela Saleh Hails Cooperation with Italy

Speaker of Libyan Parliament, Ageela Saleh stated that cooperation with Italy was extremely important. He called for the strengthening and development of relations between the two countries.

In a press statement to the Italian newspaper La Stampa, Saleh added that Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi would be able to strengthen relations with Libya. “We, in turn, will support this in a way that maintains good relations and contributes to reconstruction,” he said

On Sunday, Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio met with Prime Minister Abdel-Hamid Dbaiba, in Tripoli. This was the first visit by an EU minister to the new Government of National Unity (GNU).
