Ageela Saleh-Justice Minister Discuss Judicial Reform

On Thursday, the Speaker of the Libyan Parliament, Ageela Saleh held a meeting with the Minister of Justice, Halima Ibrahim in Al-Qubba city. They discussed aspects of cooperation between the Government of National Unity (GNU), and the Parliament in establishing law and justice, enhancing joint efforts to unify state institutions, and support national reconciliation.

Ibrahim also stressed the need to improve conditions of detainees inside reform and rehabilitation centers, to guarantee complete respect for human rights.

During the talks, the minister affirmed her keenness to develop the justice sector in general, especially the courts and prosecutions. She noted that the ministry has an ambitious plan to introduce electronic archiving services and a remote litigation system, in addition to its endeavour to provide health insurance services to all employees and members of judicial bodies.
