Ali Al-Salmi, a member of the medical team assigned to follow up on the stranded nationals’ conditions in Tunisia, said on Saturday that about 2000 stranded Libyans had been placed under mandatory quarantine in three hotels in the Medenine governorate.

In press statements, Al-Salmi added that they will undergo medical analysis during their 14-day quarantine, specifically on Monday.

The mayor of the Tunisian city of Zarzis, Makki Larayedh, said that Libyans are most welcome in Tunisia, but they have to abide by the 14-days quarantine period.

He noted that after the end of their quarantine, they would have the right to return home and spend Eid Al-Fitr with their families.
