On Saturday, the Prime Minister of the Libyan Government of National Accord (GNA) Fayez Al-Sarraj held a telephone conversation with the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

During the call, the duo discussed the latest developments in Libya and means of enhancing bilateral relationships between Turkey and Libya.

Al-Sarraj has thanked the Turkish president for the medical equipment provided to support the GNA’s efforts in facing the coronavirus pandemic. Turkey has also increasingly supported armed groups aligned with the GNA, and the Turkish army has been participating in the battlefield against the Libyan National Army.
