Egypt and France Discuss Libya

In a phone call on Tuesday, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and his French counterpart Jean-Yves Le Drian discussed recent developments in the region and the situation in Libya.

According to Egyptian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Hafez the two sides discussed ways to reach a comprehensive political settlement to the crisis in Libya in order to restore security in the region and eliminate terrorism.

The two ministers also discussed the latest developments regarding the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) and the Palestinian issue, emphasizing the importance of a two-state solution.

The spokesman added that the two Ministers discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations, economic cooperation and the interests of the two states.
