On Tuesday, Libya’s Ministry of Defense delegation attended the African Defense Ministers’ Conference in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The conference brought together African defense ministers, military chiefs, and commanders of East Africa’s rapid intervention forces to discuss pressing security challenges and collaborative solutions for the region.
Libya’s delegation was led by Deputy Defense Minister Colonel Abdel Salam Al-Zoubi, alongside Major General Mahmoud Hamza, head of military intelligence, and senior officials responsible for border security and counterterrorism efforts.
The conference focused on strengthening regional cooperation through intelligence-sharing, joint military operations, and the development of a strategic roadmap aimed at enhancing stability and security across the continent.
Organized by Ethiopia, this three-day event is the first African Defense Ministers’ Conference hosted by Addis Ababa and operates under the theme “Africa, in Strong Unity, for Global Security and Peace.”
