The Supreme Committee for Combatting Coronavirus in Benghazi called on the owners of private healthcare facilities, clinics, and medical centres to implement government recommended precautionary measures. This is to prevent the spread of infection, whether for visitors or medical staff working in these facilities.

The Committee pointed out that the monitoring and investigation teams have noticed that most private facilities are not committed to the preventive measures.

It also warned the owners of these facilities that it will exercise its role as the competent health authority, and close these facilities in case of non-compliance.
