Libya-UAE Discuss Consolidating Ties

On Tuesday, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, received the Libya Minister of Foreign Affairs, Najla Al-Mangoush and her accompanying delegation at Qasr Al-Watan.

During the meeting, they discussed the prospects of further consolidating the strong relations between the two nations. They also exchanged views on the current situation in Libya, and reviewed the latest regional and international developments.

Al-Nahyan affirmed the UAE’s “support for all efforts aimed at achieving security, peace, and wellbeing in Libya, including the initiative of the Libyan government to ensure the country’s stability.”

In turn, Al-Mangoush expressed her thanks and appreciation for the UAE’s support for Libya’s stability. She also praised the “strong brotherly relations between the two countries and the mutual keenness to strengthen and develop them in all fields for the benefit of their two peoples.”

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Shakhbout bin Mubarak Al-Nahyan, Minister of State, Abdullah bin Sultan bin Awad Al-Nuaimi, Minister of Justice, and Fares Mohammed Al-Mazrouei, Advisor to the Ministry of Presidential Affairs.

Notably, Al-Mangoush and her accompanying delegation visited the Kingdom of Bahrain on Monday.

Upon her arrival, she was received by Foreign Affairs Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, and Undersecretary for Consular and Administrative Affairs, Ambassador Tawfiq Ahmed Al-Mansour.

The FM expressed her thanks and appreciation for Bahrain’s support for Libya’s stability. She also praised the “strong brotherly relations between the two countries and the mutual keenness to strengthen and develop them in all fields for the benefit of their two peoples.”
