On Wednesday, Tunisian Defense Minister Imed Hazgui held a talk with French counterpart Florence Parly to discuss a number of regional issues, especially the situation in Libya.

Hazgui emphasized Tunisia’s position on Libya, saying that the country rejects foreign interference and supports a Libyan-Libyan solution to the crisis.

The two Ministers discussed ways to reinforce Franco-Tunisian military co-operation through training, expertise sharing, and military equipment development.

Parly expressed his willingness to bolster bilateral relations and called for the joint drafting of a defense framework between the countries.

The French Minister invited Hazgui to lead the upcoming Tunisian delegation for the 28th session of the Franco-Tunisian Joint Commission at the end of September.
