Brazilian football legend Ronaldinho is set to visit Libya in the coming days. The organisers of the Benghazi Summer Festival have announced that they will host several stars and artists, including former Barcelona star Ronaldinho, Lebanese singer Wael Jassar, and Tunisian singer Nordo.

The festival’s official page posted a picture of Ronaldinho, stating: “The football magician, 2005 Ballon d’Or winner, samba star, and former Barcelona and Milan player Ronaldinho will be a guest in Benghazi for the first time to participate in the Benghazi Summer Festival.”

The festival will feature various cultural, sports, and artistic activities. These include football tournaments, beach soccer, beach volleyball, swimming, and equestrian events. Additionally, there will be book fairs, a Benghazi history exhibition, and photo exhibits.

The festival will commence on 1 August and continue until 15 August.

Ronaldinho’s visit is particularly significant, given his status as one of the most beloved football players in history. Known for his exceptional skills, creativity, and joyful playing style, Ronaldinho has won numerous accolades, including the FIFA World Player of the Year twice and the UEFA Champions League with Barcelona.

The Benghazi Summer Festival is expected to draw large crowds, not only from Libya but also from neighbouring countries. It is seen as an opportunity to showcase Benghazi’s rich cultural heritage and its potential as a hub for international events.

Ronaldinho’s participation is also anticipated to inspire young Libyan football enthusiasts. His presence at the festival could provide a significant boost to the local sports scene, encouraging youth to pursue their passion for football and other sports.
