Lieutenant General Saddam Khalifa Haftar, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan National Army, observed a live-fire tactical exercise carried out by Libyan cadets training at the King Abdullah II Special Operations Training Center in Amman, as part of his official visit to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

According to a statement released by the LNA General Command Media Office, the exercise formed part of an intensive special forces training program focused on advanced field skills. The drill was conducted using live ammunition and demonstrated a high level of precision, professionalism, and discipline. It included scenarios simulating the assault and clearance of fortified buildings under controlled fire cover, in full compliance with established rules of engagement.

Haftar closely monitored the exercise and received briefings on its objectives, execution phases, and tactical outcomes. He praised the Libyan cadets and participating officers for their strong performance, highlighting their adherence to training plans, accuracy in execution, and ability to respond effectively to diverse combat scenarios. He described the exercise as evidence of the cadets’ growing operational readiness and the effectiveness of advanced training programs.

During the visit, Haftar was accompanied by senior Jordanian military officials, including the Assistant Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff for Operations and Training, the Director of Military Training, and several high-ranking officers from the Jordanian Armed Forces. Their presence underscored the level of coordination and cooperation between the two military institutions.

Haftar began his official visit to Jordan on January 6, holding a series of meetings with Jordanian officials to discuss expanding military cooperation, strengthening coordination, and exchanging expertise in training, professional development, and capacity building.
