Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan National Army, Lieutenant General Saddam Haftar, has congratulated Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar and members of the armed forces on the 12th anniversary of Operation Dignity.

In a statement marking the occasion, Saddam Haftar said Operation Dignity represented the sacrifices made by members of the armed forces and supporting youth from across Libya in defence of the country and in the effort to restore security and stability.

He also extended his congratulations to the Libyan people, describing the anniversary as a turning point in Libya’s modern history. He said the campaign reflected the will of Libyans to confront terrorism and chaos, while moving towards the establishment of a strong, secure state supported by a national army committed to defending the homeland and protecting its resources.

Saddam Haftar paid tribute to those who lost their lives in defence of Libya and wished the wounded a speedy recovery. He stressed that their sacrifices would remain firmly remembered by Libyans.

He added that the anniversary of Operation Dignity would continue to stand as a symbol of resilience and sacrifice. Saddam Haftar reaffirmed the commitment to preserving Libya’s security, stability, unity, and sovereignty, while working to build a future that meets the aspirations of the Libyan people.
