Libyan Military Investment Authority Announces Start of Construction of Al-Karama Hospital in Benghazi

On Sunday, the Military Investment Authority, affiliated to the General Command of the Libyan National Army (LNA) announced the start of construction works of Al Karama Hospital at the February 17 Camp in Benghazi city.

This is the implementation of a directive of the LNA Commander-in-Chief, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar.

In a statement, the Head of the Military Investment Authority, Major General Ramadan Bouaishah Al-Werfalli, explained that the hospital will be built on a total area of 50 thousand square meters, adding that it is fully equipped with the latest medical equipment and will provide all specialties.

He indicated that the actual start of the project construction is carried out by a Libyan-Emirati company.

Bouaishah added that the LNA Commander also directed the authority’s officials to establish three hospitals containing all facilities in the East, West and South of Benghazi, accommodating at least 12 million people. They indicated that they are considering submitting bids to foreign companies in order to start the construction of these hospitals.
