The Libyan Ministry of Sports and Youth assigned a joint committee including the Libyan Olympic Committee, to follow up on the standards and regulations of sports federations, and to develop a clear mechanism to correct and review all current procedures.

This came in an expanded meeting held by the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Jamal Bounowara. During the meeting, several important issues were discussed in terms of regulations, controls, political systems, organisational structure, financial policies, infrastructure, and the validity of legal union procedures.

Bounowara indicated that the commission will take several steps to establish legal mechanisms that would “correct the course, and establish a fixed working mechanism that regulates the work between all federations.”
