Libya’s Health Minister of the Parliament-designate governmenta, Dr. Othman Abdul-Jalil, accompanied by Minister of Environment, Mohamed Abdul-Hafeez Zayed, and Chairman of the Emergency and Rapid Response Committee, Abdullah Al-Sharif, conducted a visit to the Al-Abyad area in southern Libya.

The visit aimed to assess and improve healthcare services in the region.

According to a statement from the Libyan government, the ministers focused on establishing vital health and service facilities in the area.

This includes setting up a primary healthcare unit that would offer essential services such as vaccinations and basic healthcare.

The initiative is part of a coordinated effort between the Minister of Health and local officials to address healthcare needs in the region.

The government’s statement highlighted that this move is part of a broader plan by the Ministry of Health to address the health service gaps in southern Libya.

Starting with areas like Al-Abyad, Qalaa Ubari, and Ghat, the plan also includes monitoring damage caused by recent floods and rains and ensuring the provision of necessary medical services.
