Libya’s GNA Requests Medical Assitance from China to Confront COVID-19

On Wednesday Muhammed Al-Qiblawi, a spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA), declared that the Ministry requested medical supplies and equipment from China to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Al-Qiblawi added that the Libyan government has taken all precautions to contain the virus and to limit its spread.

The statements came during a press conference attended by Foreign Minister Mohamed Siala regarding the latest developments in Tripoli.

At present, there have been no reported cases of COVID-19 in Libya, the government previously announced.
