Belgassem Khalifa Haftar, Director General of the Libya Development and Reconstruction Fund, conducted a field tour across several Al Wahat cities in eastern Libya to review the progress of development projects currently being implemented under the fund’s national reconstruction program.
The visit included the cities of Jalu, Awjila, and Jakhra. During the tour, Haftar inspected ongoing projects, reviewed construction progress, and met with local officials and engineers responsible for supervising the works.
The meetings focused on evaluating completion rates, identifying technical challenges, and ensuring that projects are being implemented according to the planned development timeline.
Officials stated that the visit aimed to assess the current needs of the Al Wahat region while discussing priorities for the next phase of development initiatives. The tour also included discussions on launching additional projects designed to strengthen key service sectors and improve the quality of life for residents.
The development projects being implemented in the region focus on several essential sectors, including education, higher education, healthcare services, electricity networks, infrastructure, and basic public utilities. These initiatives are intended to enhance the availability of services, support local communities, and contribute to long-term sustainable development in the Al Wahat cities.
