Sirte University will host an international scientific conference on artificial intelligence and machine learning on Sunday, 14 June 2026, bringing together academics, researchers, media professionals, and specialists interested in science and technology.

The conference, held under the theme “Education, Scientific Research, and Future Challenges,” will take place at the Reconstruction Auditorium on the university campus. It is being organised by the Research and Consultation Centre at Sirte University.

The event aims to discuss the latest developments in artificial intelligence and machine learning, with a focus on how modern technologies can support education and scientific research. It will also examine the opportunities and challenges linked to digital transformation, innovation, and future development needs.

Sirte University said the conference will provide a platform for scientific discussion and professional exchange among researchers and specialists. Sessions are expected to cover applications of artificial intelligence, the role of machine learning in academic and research environments, and the ways in which advanced technologies can support development and innovation.

The university and its Research and Consultation Centre invited media outlets, journalists, and press institutions to cover the conference proceedings, including its scientific sessions and specialised discussions. The university said media coverage would help spread knowledge and raise public awareness of scientific and technological progress.

The conference is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. at the Reconstruction Auditorium. Its programme will include scientific sessions and panel discussions focused on artificial intelligence applications and the potential use of these technologies in education, research, development, and innovation.

Sirte University said the presence of media organisations would support the scientific process and help present academic and research efforts to a wider audience. It added that sharing the conference outcomes with different segments of society would contribute to stronger public engagement with science, technology, and future-focused research.

The conference comes as artificial intelligence and machine learning continue to play a growing role in education, scientific research, data analysis, digital services, and economic development. By hosting the international event, Sirte University aims to strengthen academic dialogue around emerging technologies and their impact on future learning and research systems.
