LNA Says Proposal to Fairly Share Oil Revenues is Reached

On Friday, the Spokesman for the Libyan National Army (LNA), Major General Ahmed Al-Mismari, said an agreement to fairly share Libyan oil revenues was reached.

He pointed out that oil revenues would be shared to serve all Libyans residing in the eastern, western and southern regions alike.

Al-Mismari added that a joint committee will be formed to resolve all disputes and outstanding issues between all parties, through the internal and intra-Libyan dialogue. The committee will consist of Vice Chairman of the Presidential Council, Ahmed Maiteeq, Libyan tribal sheikhs, and members of the Libyan Parliament.

LNA leader Khalifa Hafter announced earlier today a conditional lifting of a 9-month long blockade on oilfields and ports.

On January 17, pro-Haftar groups supported by the Petroleum Facilities Guard blockaded key oilfields and export terminals.
