Germany-Tunisia Hope for A Comprehensive Political Settlement in Libya

On Friday, the Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Othman Al-Jerandi, discussed the Libyan crisis developments with the German ambassador in Tunisia Peter Prügel, the Tunisian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The statement added that Al-Jerandi stressed the importance of strengthening consultation and coordination with Germany regarding the Libyan crisis, as it is the sponsor of the Berlin process.

The two sides stressed the need to reach a permanent and comprehensive political settlement in Libya in light of the outcomes of the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum in Libya.

For his part, the German ambassador affirmed the importance of coordination between the countries of the region in order to address the phenomenon of illegal migration towards Europe.
