On Tuesday, the Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Othman Jerandi, held a telephone call with his Algerian counterpart, Sabri Boukadoum, to discuss the latest developments in Libya.

According to a statement issued by the Tunisian MoFA, the two ministers discussed ways of promoting bilateral relations at the economic and political levels. They also considered the establishment of mutually beneficial mega investment projects.

The talks also touched upon continuing coordination of positions and consultations on all international and regional issues of common interest, primarily the Libyan crisis.

The two FMs stressed the importance of providing full support to Libya, in order to help it restore its stability and leading role in Africa and the Mediterranean.

They also called for backing efforts to rebuild state institutions and to reach a comprehensive solution to the crisis, based on the outcomes of the Berlin Conference.
