Members of the Health and Environment Committee of the Libyan House of Representatives have taken part in a medical outreach initiative aimed at assessing the quality of healthcare services provided to Libyan nationals in Jordan.

The delegation, led by Deputy Head of the committee Hassan Al-Zarqa, alongside members Sabah Jumaa and Ali Al-Issawi, attended a free medical day organised for the Libyan community. The event was hosted at Al-Istiqlal Hospital in the capital Amman, with participation from members of Jordan’s parliamentary health committee and officials from the country’s Ministry of Health.

During the visit, Libyan lawmakers toured the hospital facilities to review the level of medical care available to Libyan patients, as part of broader efforts to monitor and improve services provided to citizens abroad.

The medical day included free consultations, a range of diagnostic tests such as laboratory analyses and imaging, as well as awareness sessions highlighting the importance of early detection in preventing diseases.

The initiative reflects ongoing cooperation between Libyan and Jordanian health authorities and underscores the importance of ensuring access to quality healthcare for Libyans living or receiving treatment overseas.
