Libyan Parliament Agrees to 300 Million LYD Budget To Confront COVID-19

On Wednesday, the President of Libya’s House of Representatives (HoR) Ageela Saleh, instructed that 300 million Libyan dinars be allocated to the Interim Government, to enable it to confront the spread of COVID-19.

A spokesman for Hamid Al-Safi, Speaker of the HoR, confirmed that the speaker was aware of all measures adopted by the Interim Government, and the General Command of the Libyan National Army, in confronting the COVID-19 epidemic

On March 22nd, the Presidential Council of the Government of National Accord (GNA) allocated 75 million Libyan dinars to be divided between 119 municipalities, local councils and governing committees to confront the COVID-19 pandemic in Tripoli.
