Al-Sarraj Discusses Latest Developments in Libya With AFRICOM Commander

A closed meeting convened on Monday between Libyan Prime Minister Fayez Al-Sarraj, US Ambassador to Libya Richard Norland, and Head of US Africa Command (AFRICOM) Stephen Townsend.

Interior Minister Fathi Bashaga, Commander of the Western Military Zone Osama Al-Juweili, Commander of the Tripoli Military Zone Abdel-Basit Marwan, and Commander of the Sirte-Jufra Operations Room Ibrahim Beit Al-Mal were also present at the meeting.

The meeting reviewed military and security developments in Libya, as well as American efforts to achieve stability in the country. яндекс

The officials also discussed joint coordination between the Government of National Accord and AFRICOM to combat terrorism within the framework of strategic cooperation between Libya and the United States.
