The National Centre for Disease Control confirmed on Monday that laboratory tests for 7 suspected cases of a novel coronavirus in Libya have come back negative.

According to the center’s statement, the suspected cases included two cases from Benghazi, two cases from Misrata, one case from Zliten, one case from AL-Zawiya, and one case from the Al-Amaal Oil Field.

In the same context, the Minister of Health announced on Saturday that after examining the laboratory sample for the three suspected cases, the tests came back negative, which means that Libya is free of coronavirus.
