The Southeastern branch of Libya’s Anti-Illegal Immigration Agency in Al-Kufra successfully carried out the repatriation of 155 Chadian nationals on Thursday, following legal procedures and established regulations.

The operation was conducted under the direct instructions of Major General Salah Mahmoud Al-Khafeefi, head of the Anti-Illegal Immigration Agency, who emphasised the importance of deporting foreign nationals in Libya found to have legal violations, security restrictions, serious contagious diseases, or involvement in illegal migration and human trafficking cases.

The repatriation process was overseen and guided by the heads of the Southeastern and Central branches, with supervision by Acting Branch Chief Brigadier Rashid Al-Sharif.

Officials confirmed that all necessary health and security checks were carried out to ensure compliance with Libyan law and international standards. The operation highlights Libya’s ongoing efforts to manage irregular migration and reinforce national security.

The Agency’s leadership extended sincere thanks and appreciation to all members of the Kufra branch for their dedication, professionalism, and commitment to carrying out their national duties.

This action forms part of wider government efforts to monitor and control illegal migration, safeguard public health, and combat human trafficking networks operating across Libya’s borders.
