On Thursday, Member of the eastern-based Parliament Khalifa Daghari stated that the United Nations has failed to solve the Libyan crisis.

In press statements, Al-Daghari clarified that this is due to the continued struggle for power between the warring parties, failure to prioritize national interests, and negative foreign interventions.

The lawmaker pointed out that the crisis has become very complicated, especially in light of escalating tensions and external interference. He noted that there is a strong desire among the Libyans to stop the war, return to peace, and resume the political process.

He stressed that achieving peace in Libya would come through the implementation of the outcomes of the Berlin Conference and the Cairo Declaration.
