The Head of Libya’s Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Mnifi, held a meeting with Mohamed Bahrun, nicknamed Al-Far, who is wanted by the Attorney General office on terrorism charges.

The meeting, which is attended by notables of the municipalities Al-Zawiya, discussed the national reconciliation and ways to resolve the problems facing the residents of the city.

In May, Al- Far had threatened to expel the Presidential Council after Al-Mnifi’s discission to dismiss Emad Trabelsi and appoint Hussein Al-Aib as the new Head of the intelligence service.

He was involved in many armed clashes with other militias in the West of the country.

Despite the fact that he is involved in many criminal cases, Al-Far was appointed as the Head of criminal investigation in Zawiya Police Department.

In August, violent armed clashes erupted between the militia of Al-Far and the militia of the Stability Support Apparatus in the capital.

The clashes resulted in the injury of 4 fighters and the destruction of a number of vehicles.

It was reported that medium and heavy weapons were used in these clashes as videos circulating on social media showed the firing of grenades and rocket-propelled grenades (RPG) from both sides.
