The Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, welcomed the statements issued by Government of National Accord’s (GNA) President of the Presidency Council, Fayez Al-Sarraj, and Speaker of the Libyan Parliament, Ageela Saleh, in which they called for an immediate ceasefire and stop to fighting all over Libya.

“I welcome the statements issued by the Presidential Council and the Parliament in Libya to cease fire and stop military operations in all Libyan lands, as an important step on the road to achieving a political settlement and the aspirations of the Libyan people to restore stability and prosperity in Libya and preserve the capabilities of its people,” Sisi tweeted on Friday.
